    About Fractional Aviation Advisors

    Firm Overview

Fractional Aviation Advisors is an independent private aviation advisory firm comprised of former senior leaders from the world's largest private jet operator. We provide objective, operator-agnostic guidance to executives, family offices, and corporations navigating private aviation decisions, from initial acquisition through multi-year program management, renewal, and transition.

Erich Walsh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fractional Aviation Advisors

Erich Walsh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Erich Walsh founded Fractional Aviation Advisors to bring independent, analytically rigorous guidance to private aviation clients, a discipline he developed over nearly a decade advising some of the most sophisticated fractional ownership clients in the country.

From 2016 to 2024, Erich served as Senior Vice President of Sales at NetJets, the world's largest private jet operator and a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. In that role he oversaw business development and advisory across fractional ownership, aircraft leasing, and jet card programs, working directly with C-suite executives, family offices, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals across the full program lifecycle, from initial acquisition through account management and renewal. His tenure at NetJets also included direct responsibility for a significant portfolio of client accounts, an experience that informs the firm's account management practice as directly as it informs its acquisition advisory.

Prior to NetJets, Erich spent over two decades in finance, developing the analytical framework and structured evaluation discipline that now underpins every cost model, proposal analysis, and contract review Fractional Aviation Advisors produces. That background, applied to the operational complexity of private aviation programs, is the combination that defines the firm's advisory approach.

Outside of work, Erich is an avid cyclist and reader, a committed family man, and an advocate for sustainable living.

Steve Eiseman, Executive Aviation Advisor at Fractional Aviation Advisors

    Steve Eiseman, Executive Aviation Advisor

Steve Eiseman co-founded the fractional jet ownership model alongside Richard Santulli in 1986, serving as NetJets' first-ever sales executive. What he and Santulli built, originally as Executive Jet Aviation, was acquired by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway in 1998 and grew into the dominant force in global private aviation. The fractional ownership structure that defines the industry today is, in meaningful part, the product of the model Steve helped create and spent his career developing.

Over more than three decades at NetJets, Steve worked with private aviation clients across the full spectrum of program decisions and the full range of client profiles: C-suite executives, family offices, major institutions, and individuals at the highest levels of business and public life. That depth of direct client experience, accumulated over the entire history of the fractional ownership industry, is the foundation of the advisory perspective he brings to Fractional Aviation Advisors.

Steve has spent his career guided by the principles of safety, quality, and long-term client relationships, a set of priorities that translate directly into the firm's approach to every advisory engagement.

John Paul Nicolaides, Senior Advisor, Strategy and Finance at Fractional Aviation Advisors

John Paul Nicolaides, Senior Advisor, Strategy and Finance

John Paul Nicolaides serves as Senior Advisor for Strategy and Finance at Fractional Aviation Advisors, contributing structured financial analysis and strategic perspective to the firm's advisory engagements.

John Paul brings over three decades of senior leadership experience in finance, with particular depth in complex transaction evaluation, credit analysis, and the kind of structured financial modeling that private aviation decisions require but rarely receive. His background in mortgage leadership at the highest levels of the industry, where he was recognized among the top retail lending managers in the country, developed precisely the analytical disciplines most relevant to aviation program evaluation: assessing long-term financial commitments, modeling total cost of ownership, evaluating the economics of multi-year contractual obligations, and identifying where the numbers in a proposal do not reflect the client's actual financial position. Those skills translate directly to the fractional ownership and jet card decisions Fractional Aviation Advisors advises on, where the financial complexity is real and the consequences of inadequate analysis compound over multi-year contract terms.

John Paul also brings significant experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and complex stakeholder communication, capabilities that inform both the firm's internal operations and its ability to present analysis clearly to principals, boards, and family office teams. He is fluent in French, Spanish, and English, and serves in advisory and governance roles across several civic and community organizations.
